Essential Makeup Tools(what do you have in your kit?)

What makeup tools and cosmetics do you have in your collection? Is your kit built for personal or professional purpose? You don't have to spend more than you can comfortably afford to have a well-built kit, it's not about having the 'expensive' tools but the 'right' tools.

Building your makeup kit may be close to having a dosage of eyeshadow colours but not exactly that. Don't lust for the beautiful colors because you may never have enough of it.
The difference between one successful makeup artist and another may just be an item that the other doesn't have in her work box. It is ideal we know exactly what we need, make a list(on a scale of preference) and try to get them at your pace.

Nevertheless, we should not forget that the makeup tools we would need for a beauty makeup could be different from that of editorials as well as makeup fx.

Here's a list of the basic beauty makeup tools
-makeup box/bag
-makeup brushes(or your fingers)
-foundation(shades)
-concealer(shades)
-powder shades(translucent powder)
-lip colour shades(from nude to a brighter colour)
-lip liner shades
-eyebrow pencils
-eyeliner shades(first choice black)
-mascara shades(first choice black)
-shades of blush
-bronzer shades
-face wipes
-primers(face, eye and lip primer)
-fixing spray
-false lashes and glue
-eyelash curler
-cotton bud
-makeup sponges/beauty blender
-powder puff
-oil blotters
-blade, pair tweezers and baby scissors

A professional would need to go beyond the basic list to have:
-glitters
-eye gloss(shades)
-contour kit
-apron
-cape
-hairband
-table cloth
-cotton wool
-hair straightener and curling wand
-comb, weave brush and hair brush
-bobby pins/hairpins
-spray on
-mint sweets
-hair spray, gel
-hand cream
-hand sanitizer
-disposable foundation palette/mixer

Don't forget to comment on any item u feel is important and hasn't been mentioned. Everyone deserves to be beautiful!

How To Get Your Makeup Last Longer

Does your makeup last all day? There are only a few things worse than spending a huge time on your makeup, only to discover it was all in vain by lunch. You can quit being a victim of this annoying experience, see how to keep your 'beauty' intact all day.

Prime That Face!
Primers are used to prepare the face for other makeup, it serves as a base. Primer is super important when it comes to making your 'beauty' last till eternity. It's like the foundation to your foundation. Primers are packed with silicone which prevents the oil on your face from washing off your makeup.
Before applying any other makeup, smooth a primer all over the face including your eyelid and under eye.
I know we might have tried some face primers but using benefit 'the porefessional' is a game changer. Do not apply so much of it to avoid oily result and also allow it to dry for 20secs before applying foundation.

Foundation-Powder Formula
Use a foundation brush to evenly blend in foundation on your face. This synthetic brush deposits a thinner layer of foundation than your finger does. Less is more! "The more makeup you apply, the more there is to slide, smudge or smear" says Godwin. Only apply the foundation you need and use a concealer to cover blemishes. I always use makeup sponge to press in my foundation afterwards, sometimes with little skin finish mineral powder e.g is MAC mineralize skinfinish natural.
Be sure to cover your foundation with powder, or all your makeup will soon disappear. Always use a invisible/translucent color or one that is as close to your skin colour as possible. An example is Ben Nye Translucent Powder.

Eye Primer Power
Eye primer is also an essential for your eye-makeup to last longer. Good eye primers make the eyeshadow stick to the eyelid like metal to magnet. An example of a good eye primer is Urban decay's eye primer portion. It makes that eyeshadow creasing on the eyelid a thing of the past and helps capture eyeshadow colour on your eyelid.
Eye primers are only used on the eyelid and not underneath the eyelid.

There are a lot more open secrets on how to prolong your "beauty" for each day, but I'll wrap it up here for today. I hope we can try out these little tricks and experience the improvement we've always longed for.  It's easy! Purchase the right products and get started!
